Features: Westinghouse iGen2200 Portable Generator

Inverter Technology: Westinghouse iGen2200 is a gas-powered, high-quality inverter generator. It is powerful enough to run most of your home essentials and power your outdoor activities like camping and tailgating. Also, it has the power to run your tools if you are a DIY enthusiast.

Emissions: The best thing about this generator is it is EPA, CARB, and USFS certified.

EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and CARB (California Air Resources Board) have a strict set of rules and regulations that this generator follows for environmental protection. On the other hand, USFS (United States Forest Service) allows this generator to use in national forests and grasslands.

Engine and Power Capacity: It carries a 79cc, 3HP 4-stroke OHV Westinghouse engine, which delivers a starting wattage of 2200W and running wattage of 1800W.

As it is an inverter generator, so it produces pure sine waves that are suitable for powering sensitive electronic items. Its THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) rating is less than 3%. Anything less than 5% is ideal for delicate electronics.

A lower THD rating means lower peak currents, higher power factor, and higher efficiency.

Parallel Capability: You can also connect this generator with other inverter machines to generate more power with the help of a Westinghouse parallel cord. You can link it to Westinghouse iGen2500, iGen2200, iGen1200, and WH2200iXLT.

Fuel Capacity and Runtime: Its plastic 1.2-gallon gasoline tank can give a runtime of up to 12 hours at quarter load. But at half load, its runtime is up to 10 hours.

Efficiency Mode: For maximum fuel efficiency, use this efficiency mode. When activated, it changes the engine’s RPM (speed) to match the load you have applied. The lower the load, the lower will be the speed. The higher the load, the higher will be the speed.

This not only saves your fuel but also increases the lifespan of the engine.

Starting Mechanism: Westinghouse IGen2200 comes with a traditional pull-start mechanism. But the generator is quite easy to operate. You don’t need to pull the rope multiple times.

Operational Sound: It is a quiet generator with an operational sound of only 52 dBA.

Power Outlets: Now, come to its control panel, which has two 120 Volt 20 Ampere (5-20R) household receptacles and two 5 Volt USB ports. All these outlets are covered for protection against rain and dust.

With 5-2-R outlets, you can run your household appliances and tools, and with USB ports, you can power your USB-powered electronics.

Light Indicators: The control panel has not only power outlets but also three light indicators: overload, low oil, and output ready.

The output ready indicator turns green when your generator is ready to give output. The low-oil light turns on when the oil level is insufficient. And the overload indicator tells your generator is being overloaded.

Safety Features: The safety of a generator is very important, and that’s why iGen2200 has built-in overload protection and low-oil shutdown features.

Portability: For outdoor usage, your generator must be light in weight and compact. So, this generator is also compact and only weighs 46 pounds. Also, a comfortable handle helps you to carry it effortlessly.

Warranty: It has a 3-year limited warranty.
