Features:

Generator Type: Westinghouse WGen5500 is an open frame portable traditional generator that operates on gasoline. It is mostly used to power homes as it is transfer switch ready. But you can also use it outdoors to power your RV, food truck, or job site.

Warranty: It comes with a 3-year residential warranty and a 1-year commercial warranty.

Its warranty is limited that doesn’t cover all generator parts.

Mobility: Westinghouse WGen5500 is not a lightweight generator, weighing 174 pounds. It is 27.2 inches in length, 26.1 inches wide, and 26 inches in height.

You can lift this generator by machine on a job site and move it from one area to another. Its hardened-steel frame allows you to easily lift it. Also, it has high-quality wheels and a U-shaped fold-down handle for easy transportation.

Start System: A reliable recoil start mechanism makes it easy to start the generator.

Engine: It includes a 420cc, 4-stroke Westinghouse OHV engine, which gives impressive output power. It is featured with a long-lasting cast iron sleeve.

Output Power: Westinghouse WGen5500 can produce 6850 starting wattage and 5500 running wattage. This power is enough to run small to mid-sized houses. Also, you can connect multiple power tools at a construction site.

THD Rating: Its less than 23% THD rating doesn’t allow you to power your sensitive electronics.

THD refers to the amount of distortion present in the signal.

Decibel Rating: Its engine creates 72 dBA of noise.

Fuel Tank Size: Westinghouse WGen5500 includes a steel gasoline tank of 6.6 gallons. It also features a fuel gauge so that users can check the fuel level easily.

Runtime: It offers 20 hours of runtime at quarter load and 15 hours at half load.

Its fuel consumption is around 0.33 gallons per hour.

Power Receptacles: The power panel has four 120 Volt 20 Ampere (5-20R) GFCI outlets and one 120/240 volt 30 Ampere (L14-30R) outlet.

GFCI outlets are for the protection of the users against electrical shocks. And the L14-30R outlet allows a simple and easy connection to the manual transfer switch of your house.

VFT Data Center: VFT data center gives real-time updates related to the generator. It displays the output voltage, frequency, and lifetime run hours.

Safety Features: Automatic voltage regulation provides a constant output voltage. Low oil shutdown stops the engine from running on low oil. And overload protection prevents overloading that can damage both the generator and your appliances.

Emissions: Westinghouse WGen5500 can be shipped to any American state. It is both EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) and CARB (California Air Resources Board) approved.
