A-iPower SUA2000iV Portable Generator Review

A-iPower SUA2000iV is a highly portable inverter generator, best for camping, tailgating, and RV use. It is quite similar to the Honda EU2000i. It is an inexpensive generator that starts easily and performs well. Its decibel rating is slightly on the higher side, but you can keep it away from you to make it work quietly.

Features:

Generator Type: A-iPower SUA2000iV is a gas-powered inverter generator that is a perfect choice for recreational use.

Weight and Size: It is 21 inches in length, 12.5 inches wide, and 19 inches in height. Also, it weighs 46 pounds that makes it a portable machine. A single person can easily carry it by using a built-in handle.

Emissions: You can easily ship and use this generator in all 50 states of America. It is both CARB (California Air Resources Board) and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) approved. Both these agencies have set air pollution standards that generators have to meet to get certifications.

Power: It comes with a 79cc A-iPower 4-stroke OHV engine, which delivers 2000 starting and 1600 watts of running power. With this power output, you can easily run your essentials during outdoor trips, camping, and tailgating.

The best thing about this generator is that it produces stable power with less than a 3% THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) rating. This makes it highly suitable for powering delicate devices.

THD measures the amount of harmonic distortion present in an electrical signal.

Also, the unit is parallel capable that allows you to connect another similar or compatible inverter generator to double the power.

Tank Storage Capacity and Runtime: A-iPower SUA2000iV has a 1.1-gallon fuel tank with a fuel gauge. It gives up to 7 hours of runtime at half load. The fuel gauge helps users to check the fuel level and refill the tank accordingly.

There is a low idle mode that reduces the engine speed in the absence of the load. And when the loads are applied again, the engine returns to its rated speed.

Starting Mechanism: It is quite easy to operate with a recoil start system.

Multi-Switch Feature: Its multi-switch feature integrates the choke, run, and off functions. Select the choke setting to turn on your generator and then slowly turn the knob towards running for continuous operation.

Noise Level: This generator’s operating noise is 58 dB (A) at a 50% load.

Power Outlets: Two AC outlets include one 120 Volt 20 Ampere (5-20R) outlet and one 120 Volt 30 Ampere (L5-30R) outlet. One DC outlet includes a 5 Volt USB port.

You can use the 30 Ampere outlet to make an RV connection via L5-30P to the TT-30R adaptor.

Indicator Lights: The SUA2000iV has three indicator lights. These include overload alarm, low-oil alert, and output indicator.

The overload alarm gets activated when the extra load is applied to the generator. The low-oil alert notifies you that the oil level has reached below the minimum level. The output indicator shows your generator is ready to use.

Safety: Overload protection, spark arrestor, and low-oil shutdown are there for the safety of your generator and devices.

Overload protection (circuit breaker) turns off the generator to prevent the overheating of the generator. Also, it directly protects your appliances and devices. The spark arrestor doesn’t allow the sparks to come out of the engine. And the low-oil shutdown automatically turns off the engine because of having not enough oil to run the engine.

Warranty: Its residential warranty is for 2 years.
